The Royal Society of Canada Announces its 2026 Award Winners

RSC Awards recognize outstanding contributions across disciplines and generations

OTTAWA, Ontario, Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Royal Society of Canada (RSC), Canada’s national academy, announces the 41 recipients of its prestigious 2026 awards.

Seventeen (17) RSC Awards have been presented to eminent Canadian scholars, artists and scientists in recognition of their outstanding contributions to knowledge and their impact in Canada and around the world.

In addition, the Justice Rosalie Silberman Abella Prize has been awarded to 24 law students who demonstrate exceptional potential to advance equity and social justice in Canada.
